Sheet metal welder — West Baton Rouge Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
