Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC door and window fabricator in Lowndes County, Alabama. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine The role involves clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees.
