Great opportunity: we are hiring a retail butcher in Merrimack County, New Hampshire. You will be based at a halal meat counter. What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Your main tasks: • Season and marinate meat on request • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone We offer $17 per hour plus benefits.
