Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Juneau City and Borough, Alaska. You will work at a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
