Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Logan County, Illinois. You will be based at a power plant. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces The role involves inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
