Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Benewah County, Idaho. You will be based in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day You will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding.
