Safety officer wanted in Catawba County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Catawba County, North Carolina. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. On a typical shift you will run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
