Moulder wanted in City of Edinburgh

Join our team: we are hiring a moulder in City of Edinburgh, Scotland. The job is on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
