Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Live Oak County, Texas. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
