Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in Jasper County, Texas. The role involves keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 5+ years on the tools preferred.
