Ironing operator • South Ayrshire, Scotland

We are recruiting: we are hiring an ironing operator in South Ayrshire, Scotland. The job is in a busy laundry. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day to day you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
