Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Scott County, Arkansas. Ideal candidate: • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres Day-to-day duties: • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
