Great opportunity: domestic gas engineer (Maine)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Androscoggin County, Maine. Day-to-day duties: • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections You should have: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Part-time with flexible hours.
