Aluminium tig welder — Washington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Washington County, New York. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Full-time, day shift.
