Now hiring: we are hiring a sausage maker in Lawrence County, Kentucky. The job is in a meat processing plant. What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Day-to-day duties: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder Full-time, day shift.
