Immediate opening: estate gardener (New York)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an estate gardener in Oneida County, New York. You will be based at a private estate garden. Requirements: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules The role involves lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines.
