Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day to day you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle.
