Port container crane operator • Carlton County, Minnesota

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Carlton County, Minnesota. On the job you will handle: • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination 4+ years on the tools preferred. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
