Steel fixing chargehand wanted in Sainte Genevieve County

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Sainte Genevieve County, Missouri. You will work at a high-rise construction project. You will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire 3+ years on the tools preferred.
