Gas metal arc welder — Kent County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Kent County, Maryland. You will be based on a structural steel site. You will set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes 1+ years on the tools preferred.
