Occupational health and safety officer — Yala

We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Yala, Cross River State. The role involves verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around ₦125,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
