Immediate opening: we are hiring a baker in Hood County, Texas. You will work in a bread factory. Your main tasks: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards What we are looking for: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving 4+ years on the tools preferred.
