Catering cook — Fairbanks North Star Borough

Now hiring: we are hiring a catering cook in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. The job is in a hotel kitchen. Your main tasks: • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Prepare the mise en place before each service Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Strong knife skills and speed on the line 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
