Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Kent County, Maryland. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
