Plant operator wanted in City of Lexington

Join our team: we are hiring a plant operator in City of Lexington, Virginia. You will be based in an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift Requirements: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
