Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Solano County, California. Your main tasks: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
