Domestic gas engineer — Suffolk County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Suffolk County, New York. You will check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
