Gtaw welder • Khana, Rivers State

Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Khana, Rivers State. On a typical shift you will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
