Urgent requirement: we are hiring a roofing technician in Chenango County, New York. What we are looking for: • A driving licence is an advantage for site travel • Confident working at height on ladders and scaffolds The role involves: • Replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates • Seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing • Strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck • Hang box gutters and downpipes for rainwater • Set out battens to the correct gauge and spacing • Carry out leak inspections and patch repairs Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $150 per day, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
