Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant 4+ years on the tools preferred.
