Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Mecosta County, Michigan. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. The role involves set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
