GMAW welder — Petersburg Borough

You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • ITI in welder trade or equivalent The role involves: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
