Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc setter-operator in Plymouth County, Iowa. You will be based in a tool room. What we are looking for: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges You will top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; run first-off inspection and sign off the part. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,400 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends.
