Argon arc welder — Borough of Rochdale

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Borough of Rochdale, England. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
