Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG welder in Rooks County, Kansas. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes You will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence.
