Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar installer in Wallowa County, Oregon. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Six days a week, one day off.
