Tig welder — Highlands County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Highlands County, Florida. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day-to-day duties: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Full-time with occasional weekends.
