Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in Essex County, New Jersey. The job is on site fitting windows in new-build flats. Requirements: • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors Day-to-day duties: • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails Full-time with occasional weekends. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
