Foundry operative • Orumba North, Anambra State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Orumba North, Anambra State. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges 5+ years on the tools preferred.
