Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Bertie County, North Carolina. Requirements: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Day-to-day duties: • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $150 per day plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
