Safety officer — Ilorin West

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Ilorin West, Kwara State. Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot On a typical shift you will enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
