Urgent requirement: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Central Bedfordshire, England. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Your main tasks: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Overtime paid at a premium rate.
