Steel fixer — Garland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Garland County, Arkansas. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing On the job you will handle: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
