Immediate opening: stainless steel welder (Nebraska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Douglas County, Nebraska. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On the job you will handle: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Full-time, day shift.
