Urgent requirement: we are hiring an ironing operator in City of Manassas, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics 6+ years on the tools preferred.
