You should have: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways Day to day you will run load and overload tests with test weights; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; measure rope tension and check for broken strands.
