Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
