TIG welder — Queens County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in Queens County, New York. Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits.
