Urgent requirement: sand plant operator (Nevada)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Esmeralda County, Nevada. You will work on the moulding line. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
