Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Carroll County, Iowa. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
